Partial Solar Eclipse - July 13, 2018

In southern Australia, you’ll be able to witness the phenomena from around 1pm – with it due to last for approximately 30-40 minutes.

A partial solar eclipse will occur on July 13, 2018. Part of the Moon's shadow will fall near the South Pole, so partial coverage of the Sun will be visible in parts of southern Australia, such as Melbourne (maximum magnitude of 0.022558) and Geelong (maximum magnitude of 0.031923) in Victoria; Mount Gambier (maximum magnitude of 0.045189) in South Australia, and Hobart (maximum magnitude 0.094527) and Launceston (maximum magnitude 0.072570) in Tasmania. The eclipse will also be visible in Stewart Island in the far south of New Zealand.
