Bureau issues Updated Severe Thunderstorm Warning in QLD - 2:49 pm Sunday, 19 June 2016.

TOP PRIORITY FOR IMMEDIATE BROADCAST
SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING
for DAMAGING WIND, HEAVY RAINFALL and LARGE HAILSTONES

For people in parts of the
Channel Country,
Capricornia and
Wide Bay and Burnett Forecast Districts.

Issued at 2:49 pm Sunday, 19 June 2016.
Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and abundance of smaller hail in parts of the Channel Country district. Locations which may be affected include Windorah, Bulloo Downs, Eromanga, Orientos, Ballera and Morney.

Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in parts of the Capricornia and Wide Bay and Burnett districts. Locations which may be affected include Bundaberg, Hervey Bay waters, Town Of 1770, Childers and Biggenden.

Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Never drive, walk or ride through flood waters. If it's flooded, forget it.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
* For emergency assistance contact the SES on 132 500.

The next warning is due to be issued by 5:50 pm.
