Wild Weather Quick Update - 11:15pm

A intense band of storm activity is currently heading for the NSW coast between Gosford and the Illawarra,
This is a very unpredictable situation which should be closely monitored, The estimated time of impact would be around 1-3am depending on your location the further south the weaker I would anticipate effects.

Strong wind gusts, heavy squally rainfall and small hail are all possible. Those living along the coast should heed caution though only a very small chance that water spouts could be formed by this system.
This set up brings my memory back to the situation when several Tornadoes some of which began life as a water spouts moved through the Kiama and Gerroa areas.

I am not saying this will happen in any way shape or form but it is something to be considered and precautions should be taken.
We could expect some wind gusts of up to and or exceed 100km/h as these squally thunderstorms move over.

Again this situation is difficult to predict and must be closely monitored.
